Hey Fellas!
It’s the end of week 5 and assignment deadlines are really starting to build up the pressure yea? How about having one more relaxing Saturday with Monash Photography Club as we enjoy a scenic ride on board Puffing Billy, have a sumptuous BBQ lunch and end off the exciting day with a Model Photo Shoot Session!
Puffing Billy is a century-old steam train which is still running on its original mountain track from Belgrav...e to Gembrook in the scenic Dandenong Ranges. The Railway is the major survivor of four experimental lines used to develop rural areas in the early 1900s.
Puffing Billy is now a major tourist attraction, its operation depending on hundreds of dedicated volunteers!
Don’t miss this opportunity to meet other members and have a great time with your friends!
This event is open to BOTH Clayton and Caulfield members!

$40 for members and $45 for non-members

1) Conveniently bank transfer your money to our bank account by Tuesday (24/08)

when transferring your money, please write YOUR NAME in the description
After your transaction is recorded, we will send you a confirmatory email which you will need to print and bring it with you on Saturday as a proof of payment.
2) If for whatever reasons you can't do bank transfer, we will be setting up a booth in the Clayton campus on the following days for you to make a cash payment. We will issue your ticket to you on the spot which you will need to bring with you on saturday, as proof of payment.

It's near the end of the week! Woohoo! Before you jump into weekend mode, we have a very important announcement....
There will be a very exciting workshop coming your way! Details are as follows:
Friday, 20 August
5:00pm - 7:30pm
Clayton campus, Menzies building (Building 11), H3
It will be very fundamental, so no matter what type of camera you use, mobile phone, compact, dslr, these techniques equally apply! So we urge you to bring your friends, or just anyone who wants to instantly improve their photography.
Snacks will be served!

Hello everyone,
This is just a reminder of our upcoming basic workshop at clayton campus. Since the first basic workshop was held in Caulfield, many member could not make to it. So this time we are going to demonstrate a few basic photographic techniques. There are also quite a few people struggling to choose a camera, DC or SLR? Don't worry, we will introduce all the different cameras and help you to make the decision. If you are going to buy a new camera, don't miss out.

Hey all photography enthusiasts!
When the sun set and all is dark, that's when the fun of photography begins!!!
This week, MPC is proud to have Teddy to give us a workshop on light painting! This is an insanely intriguing genre of night photography. It's gonna be extremely interactive, as many of the senior members and ex-president of MPC will be down personally to share their pointers with you!
Remember to bring your camera and tripod if you have one. No worries if you do not have a DSLR, we'll teach you tricks and tweaks that you can do on your point & shoot so that you can participate too! :D

Yarra valley winery outing |

Hi everyone,
Please be reminded our first outing of this year is coming soon. The destination will be the wineries in yarra valley. Our coach will depart Caulfield at 9:00AM March 27th (Sat), Clayton members will be picked up from Robert blackwood Hall ar 9:30AM.
The trip includes visit to three wineries, one educational tasting and one wine tasting. And picnic lunch will be provided. We'll be back to clayton around 5:00PM.
As this outing is a joint event of MPC caulfield and clayton, it's a good oppotunity to meet and drink with friends from Caulfield campus. If you are interested to go, please send us email to reserve your ticket ASAP, as there is only limited number of seats left. Ticket is $30 for members and $40 (which includes membership) for non-members. |
